Karlsson helps end Senators’ losing streak April 05, 2017

Erik Karlsson scored for a third consecutive game last night, guiding the Ottawa Senators to an important, 2-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. With the Senators needing a win to all but lock up a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference, the 26-year-old All-star came through in the clutch, scoring his 5^th game-winning goal of the season. He would eventually go on to be named the 2^nd star of the contest. Despite the team’s losing streak, Karlsson has been in excellent form down the stretch, tallying 3 goals, 3 assists and a +4 rating in his last 6 games.
