Karlsson helps end Senators’ losing streak April 05, 2017

Erik Karlsson scored for a third consecutive game last night, guiding the Ottawa Senators to an important, 2-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. With the Senators needing a win to all but lock up a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference, the 26-year-old All-star came through in the clutch, scoring his 5th game-winning goal of the season. He would eventually go on to be named the 2nd star of the contest. Despite the team’s losing streak, Karlsson has been in excellent form down the stretch, tallying 3 goals, 3 assists and a +4 rating in his last 6 games.
