Marchand earns player of the week honours March 20, 2017

Brad Marchand was named 1st star of the week on Monday, after leading the NHL in points with 9 (5 goals, 4 assists). It marked the second time this year that the winger was selected as one of the NHL’s “3 Stars of the Week”.  After breaking through last year with a career-high 37 goals and 60 points, the Halifax-native has taken his game to a whole other level in 2016-17. No one has been hotter than Marchand since the calendar year turned to 2017, with the rising star tallying an incredible 27 goals and 48 points in just 32 games. He currently sits 2nd overall in scoring with 79 points, including a new career-high, 42 assists.
