Marchand explodes in 3rd period to rally Bruins past Canucks March 14, 2017
Brad Marchand’s march towards superstar status continued on Monday, in the Boston Bruins’ 6-3 defeat of the Vancouver Canucks. With the Bruins down 3-2 heading into the 3rd period, the Halifax-native took matters into his own hands, scoring the game tying and game winning goals in succession. The sparkplug winger would eventually consolidate his hat trick, scoring his 3rd goal with just under 30 seconds left in the contest. With the three-goal performance, Marchand now shares the league lead in goals with 35, and sits tied for 2nd overall in points with 74.
