Phaneuf stays hot as Senators’ roll February 17, 2017
Dion Phaneuf was named the 2nd star of the game last night, in the Ottawa Senators’ 3-0 defeat of the New Jersey Devils. The hulking defenseman played a key role in the victory, scoring what eventually turned out to be the winning goal late in the second period. The Edmonton-native has been on an offensive tear of late, with three goals and an assist in his last four games. With 24 points through his first 55 games, Phaneuf is on pace for his best offensive season since 2011-2012.
