O’Reilly and Lehner guide Sabres to win February 15, 2017
Ryan O’Reilly was named the first star and Robin Lehner made 39 saves, as the Buffalo Sabres rallied to defeat the Ottawa Senators, 3-2. O’Reilly scored his 12th goal of the year just 24 seconds into the first period, and led all Sabres’ forwards in ice-time (21:49) and shots on net (4). The Clinton, Ontario-native has been in excellent form this month, with 7 points (3 goals, 4 assists) in 8 games. Lehner, meanwhile, provided Buffalo with brilliant goalkeeping down the stretch, shutting out the Senators in the 3rd period to seal the win. He would eventually go on to be named the 3rd star of the game.
