Mark Stone was named the first star and Erik Karlsson tallied 3 assists, as Ottawa went on to defeat their Atlantic Division rival Tampa Bay by a score of 5-2. Stone scored his team leading 17^th and 18^th goals of the season, and added an assist for good measure. Karlsson, meanwhile, boosted his assist total to 36 for the season, placing him 3^rd in the NHL in that category.
