Dumba shines in big Minnesota win January 13, 2017
Matt Dumba was one of Thursday night’s standout performers, helping guide the Minnesota Wild to a comfortable, 7-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. The 3rd year defenseman provided an offensive spark from the Wild’s blue line, tallying 3 assists, 2 hits, 2 shots on net and a +3 rating in the win. After breaking out in 2015-16 with career-highs in a plethora of categories, the Saskatchewan-native has continued to improve this season. Through 40 games, Dumba has registered 19 points (6 goals, 13 assists), has a plus/minus rating of +17, and is averaging a career-best 19:36 of ice time per game.
