Neal’s fast start propels Predators to victory December 21, 2016

James Neal scored two goals last night—including the game winner—as the Nashville Predators defeated the New Jersey Devils, 5-1. The 29-year-old put the Devils in a 2-0 hole early on, scoring his 13^th and 14^th goals of the season by the 7:15 mark of the first period. He added a game-high 5 shots on the net and finished the contest with a +2 rating. He would eventually go on to be named the 2^nd star of the game.
