Lundqvist displays remarkable composure in shutout win December 16, 2016

Henrik Lundqvist turned aside all 27 shots he faced last night, as the New York Rangers defeated the Dallas Stars, 2-0. The Swedish netminder did not technically record a shutout in the victory, after an illegal hit behind his net sidelined him for 5 minutes in the first period.  After undergoing the concussion protocol, the 34-year-old goalie returned no worse for wear, stopping everything that came his way, including an impressive 18 shots in the second period. He would eventually be named the first star of the contest.
